In a stunning denial, the IRS rejected a 501 (C) 3 tax-free exempt application for a non-profit ministry, Christians Engaged.
Christians Engaged applied back in the fall of 2019.
To my shock, IRS Exempted Organizations Director Stephen A. Martin put in writing that the denial was because their interpretation is that “Bible teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican party and candidates.” “You educate Christians in the areas of sanctity of life, definition of marriage, biblical justice, freedom of speech, defense, and borders and immigration, U. S. Israel relations.”
For that, Christians Engaged got denied?
No words can describe how dangerous, egregious, and unconstitutional this reasoning is.
The courts must swiftly intervene and reject this ridiculous ruling.
