“Fly This Summer at Your Own Risk”

If you are thinking about flying into or out of Florida this summer, you may want to think again.

More than 5,000 flights nationwide have been canceled since last Thursday. Stranded passengers have been a daily occurrence across America as airlines trying to rebook those left behind is a challenge because most future flights are full.

Both pilot and crew absences are causing the most difficulties. Additionally, we’re only beginning the summer thunderstorm season, which also causes great challenges to keep our hub and spoke airports running on time.

If you book a flight, try to be on the first flight out of the day, departing and returning home. Getting an early start always helps to get to your destination before the daily backup begins.

Above all, stay safe as traveling by any mode will be a stressful undertaking.
