“Supreme Court Rules: Cut Off Planned Parenthood Medicaid Funding”

It’s that time of the year when several U.S. Supreme Court rulings are being handed down. A big one was just announced that delivered a significant blow to the nation’s #1 abortion provider, Planned Parenthood.

By a 6 to 3 decision, Planned Parenthood can now be prevented by individual states from receiving Medicaid funding for abortions. 

This is a significant victory for evangelicals and social conservatives in their efforts to defund Planned Parenthood from all federal government tax dollars.

Some estimate the ruling could force the shutdown of about 200 Planned Parenthood clinics due to the lack of government funding.

This is a landmark decision, as no taxpayer should be forced to fund any aspect of the abortion industry.

It is past time for all taxpayer abortion funding to end.

And Congress must codify that principle into federal law.
