June 29, 2020, was a dark day for the Pro-Life movement.
It a day Pro-Lifer’s hearts were shattered once again as they now have confirmation that Supreme Court Chief John Roberts has flipped his judicial philosophy to uphold the court’s past precedence by voting with the liberals on an abortion issue.
By Robert’s 5 to 4 decisive vote, a woman’s health was relegated below the protection of abortion doctors and clinics. The Louisiana bill required abortion doctors to have privileges at a local hospital for any emergency complications with their patients.
What’s galling is it’s almost identical to a previous Texas case that Roberts voted to require abortion doctors to have hospital privileges.
Hopes are decreasing that the current court will roll back abortion on demand.
Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
