How often are you tempted to throw in the towel and declare, “I give up!”
With the fast-paced world surrounding us, giving up all too quickly on anything and everything becomes all too easy. Since the first salesperson attempted to sell the first product, sales trainers have employed everything under the sun to teach the art of not giving up too quickly on a potential sale.
But that art applies to all of us, not just salespeople.
Too often, we begin a project without completing it. Something new comes along to distract us. That’s where learning perseverance is critical.
Life is a daily flow of challenges, obstacles, and opportunities. Perseverance builds our character, integrity, and inner strength.
Experiencing a sense of accomplishment beats a feeling of giving up too early.
Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central /Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
