Teenage sex trafficking in Florida is still rising.

Is it any wonder with the sex craved culture that surrounds us with fingertip access to online pornography, as well as being labeled “the strip club capitol of the world” that we have a growing menace of teenage children lured into teenage prostitution?

Broken homes often rooted in absentee fathers, drive children to the human traffickers, who offer material possessions while deceiving them into thinking they are loved and accepted. 

A new state study found that between 2015 and 2016, 356 cases were verified of children forced into the sex trade, 52 right here in our Tampa Region, an increase of 33%.  White females ages 14 to 17 made up the majority.

Although state law enforcement and foster care agencies have stepped up efforts to identify and catch the traffickers, nothing will stop it quicker than parent’s providing a safe, loving, nurturing home for their children.

The solution resides with the parents.
