The Florida Constitutional Revision Commission will hopefully recommend removing a tool for jurists when none other will do, the so called “right to privacy.”

Since its addition to our state constitution, it’s been the tool of choice by judges to block an array of laws they happen to disagree with.

Why is the “right to privacy” outdated?

Well, think about it. We spend a lot of time arguing about how much data the feds are gathering on us. Anyone who uses Google and now Microsoft 10 knows they got the goods on us. Our smart phones can allegedly watch us, even when turned off.

And now the latest: Walmart is planning on collecting biometric in-store data via facial recognition to track your mood upon entering.

Look, if you don’t realize your privacy went out the door years ago, there’s still some prime south Florida swamp land ready for you to develop.
