“Pain at the Pump……Again”
Just as the summer driving season is ending and the gasoline demand usually sees a seasonal reduction, prices are not going down as usual but up sharply.
In fact, we could see $4.00 a gallon of gas soon.
So, what’s up?
A combination of factors is driving up prices.
Both OPEC+ and Russia have reduced their crude oil outputs on the global front, driving down supplies.
In playing politics, President Biden unwisely drew down our Strategic Petroleum Reserve to keep prices artificially low, but now those reserves are running very low.
Lastly, the searing heat has caused unusual outages at many of our gasoline refinery plants, causing unscheduled shutdowns for repairs.
Every time you painfully fill up your tank, thank President Biden, who is solely to blame for our energy dependence and sky-high prices.
