Major Mark Welch of the Florida Highway Patrol in Tallahassee has a Bill Clinton problem.
The Major emailed his troopers with the direct quote “The patrol wants to see two citations each hour… This is not a quota; it is what we are asking you to do to support this important initiative.” “When you look at citations per hour, we are at 1.3 so we have a “goal” to reach.”
Back in April, Miami-Dade troopers who met their “goals” got an extra paid weekend off.
Hmmm, these “goals” sound like quotas to me.
I guess I’m wrong because ticket quotas are illegal in Florida right?
Reminds me when President Bill Clinton was testifying in the Monica Lewinski affair and was confused about what the definition of “is” is?
It sounds like Major Welch is having a Bill Clinton moment.
