Significant ramifications lay ahead due to the increasing COVID-19 days we remain at home. Pastors need to know that a counseling spike in on the way.
That’s the warning from Josh McDowell, author, Christian apologist, and an expert on America’s cultural changes.
He points to increasing stress and fear of the unknown as we stay at home that is multiplying already high levels of social illnesses including loneliness, depression, mental illness, and pornography.
McDowell says today's truth for many is determined by one’s emotions or feelings rather than objective evidence. This lockdown is magnifying those emotions.
Pastors, now is the time to gear up and be ready to counsel an increasing hurting and wounded culture.
The COVID-19 fallout will be with us for years to come.
