An interesting phenomenon is developing with President Trump’s “Fire and Fury” and “Lock and Loaded” warnings to North Korea.
To hear the outcry from Washington’s Republican and Democrat establishment circles, in concert with criticism from the national press corps, one would surmise the whole country disapproves of how Trump is handling the crises. You would be wrong if you did.
The Rasmussen Reports “daily” Presidential Tracking Poll came in Friday at 45%. Just a week ago it was only at 39% .
The upward polling reaction coincides with Trump’s tough warnings to the rogue dictator.
It reminds me of another period in history off the Florida coast in October of 1962, when President Kennedy took a tough stand with Soviets after their Cuban proxies started pointing rockets at us.
There are times when only toughness will do, and we are in one of those times.
