“The Day The Light Went Out In America”

Bill Bunkley with Something To Think About

One of the most wondrous and astounding events the earth’s inhabitants, both human and animal, have marveled at for eons of time has again cast its shadow across America.

In Tampa, the solar eclipse began casting its shadow at 1:17 PM, reaching its eerie, 81% partial blackout at 2:49, restoring the sun’s total illumination at 4:14.

I was a teenager when the last total eclipse darkened the skies of Tampa back in March of 1970.

It was a blessing to watch the 2017 celestial event through our solar glasses and telescope. I trust our son Zachery will treasure this year’s memories as I did years ago.

Remember it as the day the light went out in America.

Although it was a momentary phenomenon, reflect about the Person who provides all the elements of life, including light, we take for granted each and every day.

I’m Bill Bunkley. Catch my show weekday’s at 4.
