“Pinellas & Pasco Hammered by Illegal Fentanyl”

This week marked National Fentanyl Awareness Day, and Pinellas and Pasco County are getting hammered by the opioid crisis.

Illegal drug manufacturers and pushers infuse fentanyl to boost their street drugs, enticing customers to reorder their “brand” for their next fix.

Just a tiny flake of fentanyl can kill a person. Ask any law enforcement officer, and they will tell you it’s a constant concern on their mind during any search and bust.

A few days ago, a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy was hospitalized after exposure to the deadly drug. Fortunately, the deputy was treated and released.

Unfortunately, 374 fentanyl overdoses have occurred in Pinellas and Pasco Counties during the first six months of 2023.

Please talk with your children and grandchildren about the deadly Russian Roulette they play when buying street drugs.
