Round One of the debates for the 2024 Republican Presidential nomination is history.
With the frontrunner absent, the co-winners were Governor Ron DeSantis and the ever-surprising newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy.
Both gentlemen were centerstage.
Ron did well while fighting for airtime but could have cracked a smile here and there and been a bit more personable. He’s always intense when talking about policy.
Vivek demonstrated confidence as a highly successful businessman with a clear command of the issues. He played the President Trump-like antagonist and enjoyed every moment.
The loser, FOX News.
From a live video feed outside Fulton County jail mid-debate to not asking Governor Chris Christie about his abortion stance, opting instead to ask him about UFOs.
And not a single question concerning our runaway trillion-dollar debt.
Bill Bunkley is a 17-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm.
