“Melania Trump Caps Off Historic Convention Night”

Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About

First Lady Melania Trump capped off last night’s Republican National Convention from the newly updated White House Rose Garden. She spoke of her “Be Best” initiative that encourages children in the areas of well-being, online safety, and opioid abuse.

Convention history was made throughout the night. Controversy arose from the left when from the White House, President Trump pardoned a convicted felon, hosted a new citizen swearing ceremony, and the First Lady spoke her address from the Rose garden.

Critics contend the evening was an ethics breach for communicating from the White House to a political convention.

But history trumps their baseless claim as President FDR on July 19, 1940, addressed the Democrat National Convention via radio from the White House.

Next up day three.
