“Where do Americans Stand on Israel”
Israel is facing turbulent times internally and externally.
Internally, the country is divided over much-needed judicial reforms. Externally, Iran and its proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas, sense disunity and vulnerability in Israel.
Where do Americans stand on the issue of Israel?
Pew Research released a survey that more than half of Americans have a favorable view of Israel at 55%.
Two-thirds viewed the Israeli people favorably. Only 48% had a favorable opinion of the Israeli government.
26% had never heard of Prime Minister Netanyahu. 42% of those who did said they had no confidence in Netanyahu to make the right decisions regarding world affairs, while 23% said they did.
74% said relations between the US and Israel were good, while 62% said they were unsure whether President Biden favored the Israelis or Palestinians too much.
