“Too Risky: Do Not Mail in Your November Election Ballot”

Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About

If you’ve been listening to my weekday radio show, you know how often I reiterate my opposition to utilizing mail-in ballots to vote. The odds of your vote not being counted are too high.

The Associated Press reported on September 8th that if mail-in ballots are rejected at the same rate as we saw in the primaries a few weeks ago, about three times as many voters could be disenfranchised in crucial battleground states like Florida than in the last Presidential election.

As I have sounded the alarm, the Postal System’s reliability and the chance your signature gets disqualified is not worth the risk.

If you use a mail-in ballot, make sure your signature matches election records and drop it off at a polling site either during early voting or on election day. Do not mail it.

Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
