“25 Years After the Attacks”

Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About

Air Date Friday, September 11, 2026

Today is the 25th anniversary of the terrorist jetliner attacks on New York’s World Trade Center, Washington, D.C.’s Pentagon, and Pennsylvania’s Shanksville borough.

In New York 2753 people died. At the Pentagon, 184 people died. And in Shanksville, 40 people died. Those who were injured on that day are estimated to be between 6,000 and 25,000. Many more first responders have died since then because of exposure to dangerous materials, with many passing away due to cancer.

Israel has the Holocaust and October 7 as their Never Forget” days. In America, future generations should not forget September 11 as “Never Forget” day as well. Over 100 million Americans have been born since that tragic day.

Let us remember and pray for the families of the victims and for first responders everywhere.
