The subject of Daylight Savings Time has once again appeared on the radar of the United States Senate.
Senator Marco Rubio saw his previous 2018 bill to keep the Daylight Savings Time permanent in Florida fail to get traction. But that is not keeping him and Senator Scott from trying again from a different angle.
They have co-sponsored legislation to eliminate this years’ time change until November 7, 2021.
They argue that Florida families have been through enough changes since March with the coronavirus, and eliminating the coming readjustment would ease one burden off their shoulders.
Congress isn’t getting much done these days, and I must say I’m not too optimistic things will change to pass a Florida bill.
But I would welcome the change if they were to surprise us all.
