“Important Closure 41 Years Later”

Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About”

Air Date Monday, September 21, 2024

Back in April 1983, the Lebanon-based terrorist organization Islamic Jihad bombed and killed 63 people at the U. S. Embassy in Beirut.

A principal member of the murderous Islamic Jihad on that day was a top commander in today’s Hezbollah terrorist organization.

I say “was” because Israel just eliminated him via an IDF precision strike in downtown Beirut.

His name is Ibrahim Aqil, and he was carrying a $7 million United States bounty on his head.

Later that same year, the U. S. Marine Barracks in Beirut was also bombed, killing 241 military personnel, including 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and three soldiers.

One would expect the Biden/Harris administration to be especially appreciative to Israel for the elimination of one who caused much American heartache.

But on second thought, I’m not counting on much from this administration.
