The atmosphere surrounding the race for the Presidency right now is as highly charged as I have ever seen.
Probably the most discussed and highly anticipated event of this campaign season is upon us: the first Presidential debate. I predict it will break all Presidential debate viewership records come Tuesday night.
Preceding that, the unexpected campaign wildcard event nobody anticipated, President Trump, naming a replacement nominee for our highest court that, if successful, could initiate a conservative majority for decades to come.
One will begin with an unprecedented battle in the United States Senate. The other could make or break one of the Presidential campaigns.
The time has arrived for high drama in the race for the Presidency.
And the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
