As I reflected 24 hours after the ambush on the innocents in Las Vegas, I saw an American landscape that is troubling on numerous fronts.
As the perished still lay on the streets of Las Vegas, many heartless, lost souls, barely noted their horrible passing. Instead, they immediately chose not to wait on the facts of this tragedy but to score political points among their base. I’m sure “anti-gun” fundraising emails were sent out long before the sun could set on the Vegas arena.
Then you had the senior CBS lawyer writing on social media that she wasn’t sympathetic because "country music fans often are Republican gun-toters."
And don’t forget the “schizophrenic” ESPN and those Kanas City Chiefs who still sat or kneeled during the Monday Night Football’s National Anthem.
It’s sad that some never miss a single tragedy to advance their political agenda.
