Curious things happen when you start getting into someone’s pocketbook. Often it makes them do the right thing even though they should have been doing the right thing all along.
So who is the new poster child for the latest reversal?
That’s right, you guessed it; your tax dollar supported National Football League.
Now that viewership and support for the NFL have plummeted after continued disrespect by some of their rags-to-riches millionaires for NOT standing for the National Anthem, Commissioner Roger Goodell says owners will meet to vote to stand, something already found in their operations protocol.
Maybe the NFL’s rightly placed concern for head injuries and concussions should not be limited to their players; something has been fogging up the league’s leadership decision making for quite some time.
The lesson here is never ignore the populist President when he’s tweeting for the people.
