As the polls tighten as they do approaching election day, it is essential to remember that there is another crucial battleground contest in addition to the Presidency: Will the US Senate remain Red in November?
Republican members of the Senate find themselves the target of astronomical amounts of left-wing special interest cash deployed to take them out.
Senator Lindsay Graham is targeted for his support of Trump and navigating Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Amy Coney Barrett through his Judiciary Committee.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnel is also targeted, among others.
Retaining the White House is a top priority. Still, retention of a Republican-led Senate is also crucial so the President can get more originalist federal judges confirmed to the federal bench.
Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
