“FL Attorney General Moody Says Reject Pro-Abortion Petition Language”

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has filed a 39-page brief to the Florida Supreme Court requesting rejection of a proposed citizens’ petition drive that would put an abortion rights constitutional amendment on the 2024 ballot.

Moody rightly makes the case the ballot summary is a “hoodwink” to voters, an “overall design to lay ticking time bombs that will enable abortion proponents later to argue that their amendment has a much broader meaning than voters would have ever thought.”

Intentionally very vague amendment language concerning an unborn baby’s viability and a woman’s health is glaring and plain to all to see. 

Ashley Moody is “spot on” in her analysis of the proposed language.

I also urge the Florida Supreme Court to reject this “smoke and mirrors” phraseology.

It should not appear on the 2024 ballot.
