Today is day 43 since the Democrat shutdown of the federal government, a new disgraceful record.

As U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson prepares his chamber to ratify the Senate budget reconciliation bill and send it to President Trump for his signature, the Democrat shutdown has caused an estimated $11 billion in permanent economic damage to America.

Thank you, Chuck Schumer, for putting politics before the needs of the people of the United States.

An estimated 1.25 million federal workers and millions of military members' pay have been jeopardized since October. Thousands of airline flights failed to get travelers to their destinations. 42 million vulnerable families didn’t receive the SNAP assistance they needed.

Never forget these difficult days.
