“Florida’s K-12 Students to get Anti-Communism Instruction”

Florida’s K-12 students are about to receive the most extensive education on Communism in any state.

The Florida Department of Education will approve this week lessons that will teach our children the history of “atrocities” imposed by Communist dictators from Russia, China, North Korea, and, of course, the Cuban regime under Fidel Castro.

In the new curriculum, students will learn about the various manifestations of Marxism that have flooded the nation’s main street media and social platforms.

The 30-page course will contain comparisons between the Communist Manifesto and the Bill of Rights, propaganda, and entertainment indoctrination.  

For years, I’ve called for more courses in US History, World History, and Civics.

This is an important step.

Bill Bunkley is a 19-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays from 3 to 6 pm across central Florida. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission and the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities. He has served as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention for the last 29 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee. By the Grace of his Lord Jesus, he is today a cancer survivor diagnosed in 2018 with AML Leukemia, having successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant that same year. His wife is Toni, son is Zac, and they attend Idlewild Baptist Church.
