While the Presidential Election continues to garner most of our political attention, today is an important day for the citizens of the State of Florida.

Unlike so many other states struggling with legally completing their election duties and responsibilities, our state finished her job with flying colors on time, on election day. That allows the organization session of both our Florida House and Senate to proceed on schedule today.

The new and returning members of the legislature gather to begin their work for the new session.

This will be a tough legislation session. The coronavirus has attacked us on a health level, devasted many Florida families, and negatively impacted our state economy.   

Expect a lean budgetary year, with lots of budget cuts to essential programs.
