For far too many months, the global coronavirus pandemic has rocked America. It has altered our way of life, like the security protocols we live with after 911.

Family life has suffered the most.

First, it was the fear of the unknown stemming from the invasion of the virus itself. Then, our jobs and businesses were shut down; our kid’s education was thrown in disarray. Beloved family members became unreachable in assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Masks and isolation are the new normal; most public participation in entertainment and sports venues were canceled.

If there was ever a time for a Thanksgiving Day family reunion, it is now. But the cancel Thanksgiving crowd says no.

Families should never be shamed for gathering, especially on Thanksgiving Day.
