If one solely focused on the loud but small minority of atheists and LGBTQ activities in America, they would surmise that Religious Liberty is about to be eliminated from the Bill of Rights.

But to do so would be wrong.

The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty released their first Religious Freedom Index. It is a comprehensive study of American’s views on the First Amendment.

In it, 80% of those polled support the right of Americans to worship their beliefs without government persecution. 71% believe we have a right to share our beliefs with others. And 66% think organizations like the Salvation Army that provide services like homeless shelters and soup kitchens should be eligible for government funds as non-religious organizations.

America still strongly supports Religious Liberty.
