The terror is over. The mystery is solved. Seminole Heights is beginning to get back to normal.

Thanks to one of more than 5,000 tips, the Tampa Police Department got their man after 51 days; the serial killer responsible for all four of the Seminole Heights murders.

But just because they got their neighborhood back, the pain and agony are far from over for the families of the victims, as well as the family of the shooter.

I will not refer to the shooter by name, as he deserves zero publicity.

But I will refer by name and praise the entire Tampa Police Department, Chief Brian Dugan, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, FBI, FDLE, Florida Highway Patrol, multiple law enforcement agencies who have backed up Tampa PD and Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn.

We thank you and your families for staying vigilant to the very end.
