Amid the discouraging news that comes at us each day, one encouraging report should be noted.
The number of abortions in America is coming down.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported that the number of abortions between 2016 and 2018 declined by 2.5%.
That said, it’s a national disgrace that in 2018 there were 619,591 babies aborted. That’s a staggering number that rivals periods of genocide in world history. But considering 1,429,247 babies were aborted in 1990, this 57% decline in abortions is a significant move in the right direction.
The work of the pro-life movement is proving effective. More women finding themselves in an unplanned pregnancy are choosing to give life rather than abort.
And that’s due to our ever-important crisis pregnancy centers.
