A terrorist attacked a New York City underground walkway adjacent to the city’s busiest terminal, The Port Authority.
Our family has transited many times through that terminal and underground corridor. The Port Authority Terminal is the best-known transit point for millions of tourists that flock in and out of New York City.
It is the main bus and subway hub for Times Square, the Broadway theater district, and is a short walk to the Empire State Building. Many flying into nearby Newark Liberty International Airport take buses and shuttles to the Port Authority Terminal.
No doubt it remains a prime target of concern.
Just weeks ago ISIS distributed propaganda depicting a rooftop Santa Clause standing next to a box dynamite overlooking Times Square.
Fortunately, this lone pipe bomber’s detonation only managed to seriously injure himself.
But he did manage to rattle the Big Apple.
