Anyone who flies regularly knows the TSA screening gauntlet is THE downer of every trip.
Most frequent flyers are part of Homeland Security’s PreCheck security screening that reduces pat-downs and bag inspections and bypasses the cumbersome exercise of removing your shoes, belt, and laptops.
If you don’t have PreCheck clearance, going through the regular ordeal is incredibly stressful if you run tight with your flight departure.
But change is around the corner.
Self-service security screenings are coming to an airport near you.
Soon, if you have PreCheck you will walk up to a dedicated line with a self-service, video-assisted, automated system to scan your carry-ons, bags, and items requiring adjacent screening. All entrance and exit doors will be totally automatic.
This change can’t get here soon enough.
