Merry Christmas is making a comeback.
President Trump has been boldly proclaiming “Merry Christmas” everywhere he goes and may well be the catalyst for its revival.
But let’s not forget that Jesus is truly the reason for the season.
Unfortunately, instead of our sole focus being one of thankfulness this time of the year for His free gift of eternal life, we often give in to the emotional stress of the season.
As your last minute preparations mount up, remember there’s a mountain of advertising pressure out there that can take the “Merry” out of your Christmas. You don’t have to give in; you don’t have to buy every “must have” gift.
If George Bailey were with us today, I believe he would attest that saying “Merry Christmas” and embracing its true meaning, is key to living a wonderful life.
