Do All Roads Lead to Jesus? – Beloved Women – June 1, 2020
READ: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: I noticed bumper stickers announcing that all religions of the world should coexist. The words encourage all religions to live in peace. The prevailing thought of the secular world tells us that all religions are the same, or at least they worship the same God. Faith, for many, has become “Be a good person and get to heaven.”
In John 14:6, Jesus makes it very clear to His disciples gathered around. Jesus announces that He is the only way to an eternity with the Father. These words ring true for us today as well. Many articles, blogs, and churches themselves want to convince us there are many ways to get to heaven. I read one article that explained following the example of the way Christ lived is all you need.
Don’t be fooled by these false prophets. No one comes to the Father except with a belief in Jesus Christ. Part of our faith calls us to live a Godly life, but we must also confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord. No other way will get you there. Jesus died and rose again to prove He is the One and Only God. He is The Way.
PRAY: Dearest Jesus, I confess that You are the one true way to eternal life. Please give me Your words to share with others to show them the truth of who You are. Protect me from those who teach something different. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen
REFLECT: Are there teachings you listen to that do not believe that Jesus is the only way?
