In today's episode, titled "My Steps Are Ordered by the Lord", Dr. Young addresses those deep questions many face: Why am I going through so much? How did I end up here? What could I have done differently? And where do I go from here? Drawing from Psalm 37:23-25—"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread"—he explains that true goodness comes not from our own merit but from receiving Christ's redemption and relying fully on Him.
God has already ordered your steps before you were born—knowing every struggle, mistake, hurt, and detour—yet His grace ensures a path back to Him and an appointment with destiny. Whether facing divorce, financial hardship, addiction, abuse, or repeated falls, believers are troubled but not distressed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken, cast down but not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). God isn't just preparing blessings for you; He's preparing you for the blessings ahead, refining you on the Potter's wheel so you're ready for elevation, promotion, and His abundant life.
Dr. Young shares how biblical figures like David, Paul, Abraham, Joseph, and Noah waited through trials because God's timing is perfect. He encourages listeners: when you fall, stay down long enough to pray, for the Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up the humble. No matter your past, God knows your address, has protected you by His angels, and continues to order your steps toward breakthrough and purpose.
