The Department of Homeland Security is on day 46 of the shutdown. All the while, we’re in a battle with Iran, dealing with the fallout of Biden's open-door border policy, and sleeper cells waiting to pounce.

Go figure.

Senate Democrats signed off on the DHS bill, only to be against it now, all to score maximum political points against the Republicans. Democrats shamelessly use the employees and families of the U. S. Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection, TSA, ICE, FEMA, U. S. Secret Service, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency as innocent pawns.

My view is that if government employees are not paid, members of Congress should not be paid until agencies are funded. If implemented, budget differences would be resolved very quickly.
