The 4th of July week is here, and you may be traveling for summer vacations. Some may be making the trek to DC for the Freedom 250 festivities.
I want to alert you to a big caution. There is a massive, dangerous, high-pressure heat dome moving across the country. And although it’s forecasted to be less severe here in Florida than up north, extreme caution is advised if you are planning to spend time outdoors.
Whether you’re standing in long queues to see the exhibits on the Washington Mall, waiting for a ride at a theme park, fishing, or sunbathing, this is a time to have bottles of water at the ready and plenty of sunscreen.
Heat stroke is a life-threatening medical emergency when your body temperature regulation fails. Don’t let it get that far.
