“Five Polk County Non-Profits Blessed by First Lady Casey DeSantis”
Five Polk County non-profits got an unexpected boost from the Free State of Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis.
The Hope Florida Fund will award $10,000 each to non-profit organizations Everyday Christians Helping Orphans Ministries, Top Buttons, Inc., Bikes for Christ, Dream Center of Lakeland, and take a Kid Fishing.
First Lady DeSantis created the Hope Florida Fund to harness the charity of the private sector to give funds to deserving local non-profit entities. These charities serve children and families in need through mentorship, material support, and educational programs.
This Hope Florida Fund is an excellent program that goes beyond traditional non-profit support efforts in the private sector.
Congratulations to these five outstanding organizations in Polk County for their service to their communities.
Bill Bunkley is a 17-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities. He has served as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention for the last 27 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee. By the Grace of his Lord Jesus, he is today a cancer survivor diagnosed in 2018 with AML Leukemia, having successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant that same year. His wife is Toni, son is Zac, and they attend Idlewild Baptist Church.
