“The Raid: An FBI Fishing Expedition”
In the predawn hours of Monday, August 8, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation sent agents from the Washington field office to Palm Beach, Florida, to raid the residence of a former president of the United States, Donald Trump.
Donald Trump was not home when the raid went down.
Mind you, thirty FBI agents, many with machine guns, conducted the raid. They did now allow Trump Lawyers to observe their collection of 15 boxes nor a safecracker brought in to open a safe. A safe that reportedly had no contents.
They say it was to collect sensitive Presidential documents for the National Archives: Documents that are subject to ongoing negotiations with Trump’s lawyers.
I think they hope to find January 6 U. S. Capitol incursion evidence.
And the timing of the raid, the stuff of banana republics.
The raid doesn’t pass the smell test.
